Jaisalmer Fort

#OctoberGoodDestinations2024
India has so many magical attractions and is one of the four ancient civilizations. On the border of India, there is a castle, the Golden City, which is not to be missed and is a must-visit place for tourists.
Jaisalmer Fort is an ancient fortress in Rajasthan, built by Rawal Jaisal in 1156 and named after it, located at the crossroads of important trade routes. This is one of the few fortresses in the world that still has a residential area, as nearly a quarter of the Old Town’s population still lives inside the fortress.
The massive yellow sandstone walls of the fort appear a tawny lion color during the day and fade to a honey gold color as the sun sets, camouflaging the fort in the yellow desert, hence it is also known as the City of Gold.
The fort also houses beautiful Hindu and Jain temples and has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
Jaisalmer Fort is a very important tourist attraction in India. It has beautiful scenery and is definitely not to be missed. It is a must-see attraction for traveling in India and is highly recommended.
