Don’t worry about hotels in Mount Fuji, they have great views, good food and great hot springs! |||Three years later, I finally set out on the journey to Mount Fuji again and stayed at this hot spring hotel - Xiufengge Kogetsu.
🏨 Location and transportation
Shufengkaku Kogetsu is located on the other side of Lake Kawaguchi, with Mount Fuji behind it and a broad view. It is not located in the busy downtown area like other hotels, but slightly off the beaten track, away from the hustle and bustle, by Lake Kawaguchiko. The transportation is convenient. From Kawaguchiko Station, you can take a bus for 20 minutes to arrive at the hotel and start a pleasant journey. The hotel also provides a pick-up service which can be arranged at a pre-determined time.

✨ The warmth and design of the hotel
This hotel makes me feel peaceful and comfortable every time I stay. Although the overall architectural style has a strong Japanese flavor, the hotel also incorporates modern conveniences. Each room has a large window, from which you can directly enjoy the magnificent view of Mount Fuji, which is a highlight of staying here
The view from the room on the 5th floor is wide. Whether you are sipping tea by the window or resting on the bed, the view of Mount Fuji is unforgettable.
The room adopts traditional Japanese tatami design and is spacious and bright. Even though it is an old building, the cleanliness and quiet atmosphere of the room still make people feel comfortable. Some rooms are equipped with private baths, where you can experience hot springs.
The hotel's hot spring experience is worth mentioning. Whether it is an indoor hot spring or an outdoor hot spring facing Mount Fuji, you can soak in the hot spring with your family and enjoy the view of Mount Fuji.
🍱The breakfast is rich, including traditional Japanese meals and Western buffet dinner. The hotel provides Kaiseki cuisine. The tempura is freshly fried and has a crispy and tender taste. It is very delicious.
🚗 Transportation
From Shinjuku, take the highway bus to Kawaguchiko Station, the journey takes about 1 hour and 45 minutes.
