Enjoy the softness, bright colors, and blooming of over 7,000 trees
At an 831-year-old temple hidden on a hill in Kurume City, Fukuoka Prefecture, in 1420, the hill was given the name “Ryugozan” by the Emperor, reflecting its historical significance. The temple also has a bronze bell from the Kamakura period, which is registered as a cultural property of the prefecture, along with memorials to warlords and graves of many shoguns.
If you are visiting Fukuoka in the summer, we recommend coming here.
Blooming from now until the end of June.
Coordinates: Senkoji Temple Admission fee: 300 yen per person
How to get there
Take the train and get off at JR Kurume Station or Nishitetsu Kurume Station. Take bus number 25 and get off at Yamamoto Community Center Mae or Yanagisaka stop, then walk for about 10 minutes.
Then let’s go together. Me…bangs
