Jeju's Yongso Dam Cafe features a spacious outdoor garden and multiple tables inside, making it a great spot to visit with family or friends during your trip. Open daily from 10 AM to 10 PM, the cafe operates year-round, offering convenience for visitors. If you visit in May, you'll be greeted by vibrant red roses and daisies, and you can enjoy your tea or coffee at outdoor tables while basking in the warm sunlight. The outdoor area also includes a photo zone, with a mirror designed to resemble Jeju Island and the phrase 'Hayoung Gobda' (meaning 'very beautiful' in Jeju dialect) adding a local touch to the atmosphere.
The menu includes coffee, tea, juices, and seasonal Jeju-inspired drinks like ade, alongside desserts such as carrot cake, cheesecake, Hallabong cake, and apple crumble. The interior of the cafe is decorated with retro-style furnishings, featuring tables for two where you can take Instagram-worthy photos against an analog wallpaper backdrop. The overall ambiance is nostalgic and retro, with tables set up in a cozy space that allows for quiet relaxation.
Throughout the cafe, you'll find vintage items and decor that evoke a sense of old-fashioned charm, including unique displays like Jeju's traditional diver tools and black-and-white photographs, offering a distinctive experience. One highlight was the peanut schpanner coffee made with Udo Island peanuts, which combined sweet cream, nutty peanut flavors, and rich coffee for a delightful taste.
