Finding Peace at Awon House

#summervacay If you’re thinking about escaping the chaos for a night or two, Awon House in Soyang-myeon, Wanju-gun (Jeollabuk-do) is such a vibe. It’s tucked away in the countryside, but not in a boring way, more like you-can-hear-yourself-think kind of peaceful. The views? Unreal. Mountains, rice fields, misty mornings... it’s basically like stepping into a Korean painting.

The house itself is part hanok, part modern chill zone. Super cozy, with wood everywhere and this quiet energy that just hits different. There's this little stream nearby too, and I swear, it’s impossible to be stressed out while listening to it.

Mornings are the best, fresh air, coffee, and that soft light through the paper windows. You really don’t need to do anything. Just exist. If you need to recharge, read, journal, or stare dramatically into the distance, this is your spot.

Definitely planning to come back. One night wasn’t enough.
