Got Sweaty, Got Humbled, Got Epic Views

#summervacay So I ended up on Heuksando Island thinking I’d just chill by the water, but someone said, “You gotta check out Chilrakbong,” and next thing I know, I’m halfway up a mountain questioning my life choices.

Chilrakbong is no joke. The trail’s steep, kinda wild in parts, and your legs will be like “uh, hello??” But the views? Absolutely worth every step. You get this full-on panorama of the sea, cliffs, and tiny scattered islands like something out of a fantasy movie. I stood there like, “Wait, this is real?”

It’s quiet up there too, no crowds, no noise, just wind and waves echoing from below. I even saw a falcon or something equally majestic (could’ve been a big seagull, but I’m choosing the cooler version).

Definitely bring water, maybe a hiking buddy, and a snack to flex with at the summit. Chilrakbong is one of those places that surprises you in the best way. 12/10 would hike and suffer again.
