At the beginning of 2025, I followed the footsteps of winter to Jiamusi, Heilongjiang. My first stop was Ice and Snow World, where I took a ride on the Snow Country Train and visited the Ice and Snow Castle.
When night falls on the snowfield, the magic begins. Thousands of colorful lights illuminate the ice and snow sculptures, turning them into a flowing river of stars. The changing lights and shadows create a colorful fairytale world.
When the cold wave hits, thousands of tons of crystal-clear ice from the Songhua River and tens of thousands of cubic meters of white snow are transformed into vivid sculptures by craftsmen. Ice and snow are the language of winter in the north and the carrier of art.
Minus 30 degrees is not a reason to curl up in a heated room, but a pass to the ice and snow. The Monkey King is the main character this year, and various Monkey King sculptures make it feel like the Year of the Monkey.
In the ice and snow park, big and small ice slides let us experience the joy of speeding down. In the square, exquisite ice sculptures display a variety of shapes. Every carving is a tribute to the extreme cold, telling the winter fairytale on the Songhua River with the passion of minus 30 degrees. Jiamusi Ice and Snow World invites you to a never-ending carnival.

💗Other tips:
Jiamusi is cold in winter, so prepare warm clothes.
Clothes: thick down jacket, windproof pants, snow boots, hat, scarf, waterproof gloves, etc.
It is recommended to prepare warmers (for phone and feet), a thermos, and sunglasses (to prevent snow glare).
Phones, cameras, and other electronic devices consume power quickly in low temperatures, so bring a power bank. It is recommended to prepare a cold-proof cover for cameras.
