In May, come to Jiamusi and chase the first sea of flowers in Northeast China

My first date with flowers in 2025 was in Jiamusi, the easternmost city in China!
In May, Jiamusi has a very comfortable temperature of over 20 degrees Celsius. The apricot flowers in the streets and alleys are also in full bloom. On the way from the airport to the city, you will be accompanied by beautiful flowers along the way. The first sight makes you fall in love with this city.

The most concentrated place for apricot flowers is the Bund Riverside Park. The apricot trees are densely planted here, and it has now become a sea of flowers. Walking through it, the May wind is mixed with the fragrance of apricot flowers, weaving the sparkling waves of the Songhua River and the pink and white sea of flowers into a flowing picture. It coincides with the grand opening of the "2025 China Jiamusi Apricot Blossom Tour Theme Event". The various exciting activities, performances, intangible cultural heritage displays, and ancient Hanfu shows on site also made my May Day holiday even more exciting.

Standing in front of the statue of Confucius, the sound of the zither flows down from the branches of the apricot blossoms. The strings pluck not only the melody of "Spring River, Flower, and Moonlight Night", but also the millennium of breathing of the Songhua River; the many intangible cultural heritage exhibitions in the Apricot Market are also worth a visit. Every intangible cultural heritage work can give you a more intuitive understanding of the history and culture of Jiamusi; the historic locomotive and green carriages are not only props for taking photos, but also a testimony to the former industrial glory of Jiamusi; strolling along the wooden boardwalk to the riverside, the blades of the wind turbines in the distance cut through the skyline, and the fishing nets are hanging alone on the shallows. There is no hustle and bustle here, only the whispers of the waves gently knocking on the shore stones.

There is also the gourmet feast in Youfang Hutong, the fragrance of special cold noodles, and the sleepless temptation of the night market barbecue. Jiamusi in May is really suitable for traveling.
