Fanjing Mountain is one of the five sacred Buddhist mountains in China, revered as the bodhimaṇḍa (place of enlightenment) of Maitreya Buddha (the future Buddha).

Pilgrims and visitors climb its steep paths to reach the famous Red Clouds Golden Summit (红云金顶), where two ancient temples sit dramatically on twin peaks, separated by a narrow stone bridge suspended in the clouds.

The mountain is considered a place of spiritual awakening, peace, and purity.
