Who says you can only enjoy beautiful scenery by rushing to Western Sichuan? I’m heading to this hidden gem in Jiangshan, Western Zhejiang first!

I’ve seen too many Western Sichuan travel guides and always felt it was too far, until I discovered Xiakou Daluankou in Jiangshan, Zhejiang — turns out there’s a “Little Western Sichuan” vibe right at our doorstep!

The morning mountain mist wraps around the indigo-colored peaks, and when the wind blows, it feels like a moving ink painting; in the afternoon, sunlight slants into the canyon, casting shadows on the stone steps, making every step feel lighter; plus, the layered terraced fields, with green waves of rice swaying in the wind, look stunning even without filters when you snap a photo (attached is a live shot that’s even more amazing!).

No need to squeeze into high-speed trains or save up long holidays, a weekend drive is enough to dive into this natural paradise, where the air is filled with the fresh scent of plants. Want to avoid crowds but still immerse yourself in mountains and water? Trust me, Xiakou Daluankou in Jiangshan is the perfect choice!
