Changjing Old Street was first built in the Ming Dynasty. It is the longest and most complete stone-paved street in Jiangyin City, with a total length of about one li. This old street is not only regarded as a precious cultural heritage of Jiangyin City due to its long history and complete state of preservation, but also attracts many tourists and researchers due to its unique architectural style and rich cultural landscape. There are many buildings from the Ming and Qing dynasties scattered along the old street, including the former residence of Shangguan Yunzhu, the former residence of Zhang Dalie and the silkworm breeding farm. These buildings showcase the characteristics of Jiangnan dwellings in the Ming and Qing dynasties, such as "green bricks, small tiles, horse-head walls, and four corridors with lattice windows."
