I've been craving for the oil olive and beef hotpot in Chaoshan.
So I drove to Jieyang with my friends over the weekend.
We didn't have any specific plans.
We just wanted to eat, eat, and eat.🤣
1️⃣ Day 1
We went straight to Rongcheng District and stayed nearby.
🚪 Shishi Bridge
We took some photos nearby.
We also found some delicious sugar onion pancakes at a roadside stall.
They were delicious, but too many would be too sweet.
🚪 Jinxian Gate
After arriving at Jinxian Gate, we found a food street with lots of delicious food.
✔️ Pickled Chicken Wings
There was a long line, but I didn't think it was that good.
✔️ Xianxing Sweet Soup
I recommend the coconut milk seaweed jelly. It was refreshing and delicious.
✔️ Liuhelong Salted Egg Yolk
The salted egg yolk was really delicious! There were also many different flavors of snacks. I bought a lot to take home as souvenirs.
✔️ Oil Olive at a Roadside Stall
I recommend the sugarcane oil olive. The combination was perfect and delicious. I still think about it now. It was really unforgettable.😋
📷 Take Photos at Jinxian Gate
You can take photos here at night. It looks much better at night than during the day.
‼️ (Don't park on the side of the road. You must find a parking lot, or you'll get a ticket! It's very congested, so I suggest you go early and park early. I lost CNY 200...)
😋 Beef Hotpot
We randomly picked a hotpot restaurant and it was great.🍲
😋 Chelaotou Erda Food Stall
We tried the Chaoshan way of eating.
Order a bowl of white porridge and add various side dishes.
It was different.🤣
2️⃣ Day 2
We didn't have any plans on the second day, so we just ate and wandered around before heading home.
✔️ Steamed Vermicelli Rolls in the Alley Opposite the TV Station
We found a popular breakfast restaurant online and tried the Chaoshan steamed vermicelli rolls that we had been missing for a long time. They were pretty good.
✔️ Youxi New-style Tea
The drinks were okay, not as special as I imagined.
But I took some nice photos.
📷 Hushan Park
It's known as the Little Temple of Heaven in Beijing (Little Temple of Heaven in Jieyang).
There were many people, so finding the right spot to take photos was important.
