Short-distance Travel in Jilin Province - Zhuque Mountain

Jilin City's Zhuque Mountain is suitable for family trips. The weather is really great. Because of the May Day holiday, there are a lot of people. The higher you go, the steeper the mountain road becomes, so we had to stop and go. In many places, only one person can pass at a time, using both hands and feet. The view from the mountain top is beautiful and the trip is worthwhile. Descending the mountain is generally faster, but it's quite tiring on the legs; my legs were shaking so much that I couldn't focus my phone camera for photos. We chose to hike up the mountain, but there is also another route where you can take a sightseeing car up to Dongshan, which costs 50 yuan. The two routes are completely different. The 'Little Waist' at the top of Dongshan is a beautiful spot for photos, and I definitely want to try the sightseeing car route in the future. There are many facilities for children to play with at the foot of the mountain, and the night light show is also very good, especially suitable for family trips. We prepared food and drinks in advance, found a place in the scenic area to have a picnic, and left the unfinished food at a nearby water-selling cabin. The owner was very nice and allowed us to store our things for free, so we could go up the mountain with less to carry. It's hot weather, so bring plenty of water. There is only one place to buy water near the top of the mountain, at 6 yuan per bottle, which is okay. Overall, recommended!
