Baotu Spring Travel Guide: Encounter the Best Spring in the World
Baotu Spring, known as the "Best Spring in the World," ranks first among Jinan's 72 famous springs and is a landmark of Jinan, the City of Springs. Here, you can experience the vibrant natural beauty, the serene and elegant gardens, and the profound sense of history. Below is a travel guide.
- Basic Information: Located at No. 1 Baotuquan South Road, Lixia District, Jinan City, Shandong Province. Open from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm. Tickets are CNY 40 per person and can be purchased online or on-site. Free admission for seniors over 60, children aged 6 and under or under 1.4m tall, and people with disabilities. Half-price tickets for minors aged 6–18 and full-time undergraduate students and below.
- Transportation: Take bus B100, B103, or other buses to Baotu Spring South Gate Station; or B103, K109, etc., to Baotu Spring East Gate Station; or K59, K1, etc., to Baotu Spring North Gate Station. If driving, parking spaces around the park are limited. It is recommended to park in parking lots of commercial areas such as Parc66 or Greenland Center, and then walk to the park.
- Tour Route: After entering the park, head straight to the core scenic spot, the spring eye area, to see the three clear springs gushing all year round and experience the wonder of "water gushing like a wheel." Then go to Luoyuan Hall to enjoy tea and the spring, and experience a relaxing time. Afterward, head to Guanlan Pavilion, an excellent viewing spot, to take in the panoramic view of Baotu Spring. Then visit the Li Qingzhao Memorial Hall to learn about the life and literary achievements of the female poet. After that, stroll through Wanzhu Garden to admire the antique courtyards and green bamboos. If you have time, visit the Li Kuchan Memorial Hall to appreciate the master's calligraphy and paintings.
- Duration: It is recommended to spend 3–4 hrs to fully appreciate the charm of Baotu Spring.
- Precautions: The paths by the spring are slippery, so be careful when walking to avoid slipping. Protect the environment and do not litter. There are many tourists in the scenic area, so take care of your personal belongings.
- Nearby Food: After your visit, try the ginger-mixed crispy lotus root, which is crisp and refreshing with a sweet taste. There is also the lotus flower pastry, which is beautifully shaped and crispy. Don't miss the youxuan, a crispy fried pastry with a soft interior and a rich onion aroma.
