Mingshui Ancient City is located in Zhangqiu District, Jinan City, Shandong Province, and is an ancient city with a history of more than 1,000 years. It was first built in the Zhenguan period of the Tang Dynasty and was initially established as Xiquan Town. During the Song and Yuan Dynasties, it developed into one of the four famous towns in Zhangqiu.
Mingshui Ancient City is dominated by Ming and Qing architecture. The main buildings and facilities in the scenic area include the visitor center, Yefang, Bufang, Mengjia Courtyard, city gate tower and walls, Huashen Temple, Shuangquan Hotel, and supporting hotel complex.
