It's so much fun to visit Jingdezhen, the Porcelain Capital! This guide will help you explore Jingdezhen and Fuliang, and experience the charm of traditional Chinese ceramic culture~
Jingdezhen 3-day 2-night itinerary:
Day 1:
šBig Bowl Theater (Changnanli Store)
A super unique theater building, shaped like an inverted big bowl. It's especially dreamy when lit up at night, perfect for photos! Address: Changnan Avenue, Zhushan District, Jingdezhen City
šTaoyangli Historical and Cultural Tourist Area
A well-preserved ancient kiln site from the Ming and Qing dynasties, where you can see restored displays of traditional porcelain making. Tickets are required. It's highly recommended to wear Hanfu for photos, it feels amazing!
Small tip: It's recommended to stay in a hotel near Taoxichuan. The Pudi Manju where we stayed was great and very close to all attractions.
Day 2:
šFuliang Porcelain Palace
This Porcelain Palace in Xinping Village is absolutely stunning! The entire building is pieced together with tens of thousands of porcelain pieces, making for incredible photos~ Remember to wear light-colored clothes! It's about a 30-minute drive from Jingdezhen city center.
šHanxi Village
A super healing tea garden village in Fuliang, where you can experience tea picking and making, and buy local Fuliang tea. Come in spring to see the beautiful expanse of tea gardens.
Day 3:
Deepen your experience of ceramic culture by learning pottery in Sanbao Village, or visiting the China Ceramic Museum to learn more about porcelain.
šµFood Recommendations:
āJingdezhen specialties: Cold Noodles, Alkaline Rice Cake, Dumpling Cake
āRecommended restaurant: Old House Restaurant (Zhushan District, Jingdezhen City), generous portions and authentic taste.
āMust-buy souvenirs: Fuliang Tea, Jingdezhen porcelain figurines.
Transportation Tips:
Taxis are very convenient for getting around Jingdezhen city. For Fuliang, you can charter a car or take a local bus. It's recommended to wear comfortable shoes, as many attractions require walking.
