Jinggangshan Revolution Museum, a museum with a rich history, is located on Hongjun South Road, Ciping, Jinggangshan City, Jiangxi Province. It is the first local revolutionary history museum in China and is one of the first 83 national first-class museums. It was approved for construction in 1958 and opened to the public in October of the following year. It has been open to the public for free since November 2007.
The museum is closed on Mondays and open from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm from Tuesday to Sunday.
The museum is easily accessible. After arriving in Jinggangshan City, you can take a bus from the train station or the city government bus stop. The fare is CNY 5 per person, and it takes about 40 minutes to reach the scenic area. Then, you can transfer to a free scenic area bus to the museum. If you want to travel more freely, you can also ask the hotel to book a private car for you.
The exhibition halls are on the third and fourth floors of the four-story building. There are 19 carefully designed scenes, including many classic chapters such as the "Battle of Huangyangjie" and "Carrying Grain Up the Mountain." You can visit the museum in order and travel back in time to witness the history of the revolutionary base. The museum has a rich collection of more than 30,000 cultural relics, more than 7,000 documents, more than 10,000 pictures, and precious calligraphy, such as the museum name written by Zhu De.
