Located in Fumin County, 26 kilometers from downtown Kunming, the Jiafeng Mountain Scenic Area is shaped like a bamboo shoot in spring, delicate and exquisite. Standing over 1,900 meters above sea level, it is surrounded by lush trees and offers breathtaking scenery. The entire scenic area, covering 12 square kilometers, boasts diverse topography, rich landscapes, and lush vegetation. Here, visitors can experience the beauty of Huangshan, the grandeur of Mount Tai, and the boundless beauty of the Shangri-La meadows. Thousands of acres of rhododendrons, over 100,000 wild camellias, and countless varieties of wild flowers and fruits create a sense of entering a unique and unconventional botanical garden.

Jiafeng Mountain combines Taoism and Buddhism, and boasts a temple on the summit known as Feilai Temple. Historical records indicate that a Tuzhu Temple was built atop Jiafeng Mountain in the fourth year of the Yongzheng reign of the Qing Dynasty. This temple was subsequently expanded annually, and by the 19th year of the Jiaqing reign, a gap of 88 years, Feilai Temple was finally completed. Therefore, Jiafeng Mountain has been a site of pilgrimage and worship for generations.
