Too Hot to Be Out in Nature? This might be just the place for you!

Summer's here and temperatures start reaching peaks of over 35 C° degrees. Stepping out into nature feels like entering an oven so we miss out all the fun by staying indoors for the most part of the day. But what if I told you there's a place in nature in which temperatures maintain a constant of around 15-18 °C even during the hottest days of summer? A place for nature lovers and adventure seekers alike? I'm talking about Shuanglong Cave in Jinhua, Zhejiang.

About Shuanglong Cave (Double-Dragon Cave) :
It is one of the most famous karst caves in Jinhua and it is part of Shuanglong Scenic Area, a national AAAA-level tourist attraction known for it limestone formations, underground rivers and waterfalls, and rich cultural background.

Thrilling Underground-Boat Ride:
Shuanglong Cave is divided into two main chambers (hence the name "Double-Dragon"): Upper cave and Lower cave. When you enter through the lower cave you have to lie flat on an underground river boat to get through the narrow water passage of the cave - this adds up to a unique thrilling experience!

Breathtaking Underground Waterfall:
Once you've entered the cave, a colorful magical cave wonderland reveals in front of your eyes. The cave is filled with stalactites, stalagmites, stone curtains and pillars shaped over millions of years. As if this wasn't amazing enough, there is a breathtaking waterfall cascading down a 15-meter drop. This waterfall is entirely INSIDE THE CAVE, and its sound echoing dramatically in the cavern will give you goosebumps! Locals call it "Teapot Waterfall", as the rock formation at its top resembles a traditional Chinese teapot pouring tea.

Other attractions:
There are other smaller caverns in the area, as well as temples and forest trails. Nearby is also Lunu Lake, a picturesque heart-shaped lake with crystal-clear waters.

Tips:
*Wear appropriate non-slip footwear.
*Some passages in the cave have low ceilings - watch your head.
*Hands-free: use a waist pack instead of holding phones or cameras.
