Quanzhou | 5 hours before boarding at Jinjiang Airport, here's how to make the most of your time!

Jinjiang Airport in Quanzhou isn't very large. Setting aside 1.5 hours before your flight is generally sufficient.

If you don't want to waste any time before your flight, we recommend you save the following itinerary:

-
📷Explore Wudian City
Wudian City in Jinjiang is definitely worth a visit. It brings together the finest examples of Minnan traditional architecture (Gu Dacuo) and distinctive colonial-era buildings (Fanzai Lou).

Inside Wudian City, you'll find trendy cafes, tea houses, cultural and creative stores, and plenty of Instagram-worthy photo spots.

You can also take photos of the popular "Zan Hua" hair ornaments here.

Wudian City isn't very big; you can explore the whole area in about an hour.

-
☕️Enjoy a Trendy Coffee
There are many unique cafes worth recommending around Jinjiang Airport.

My personal favorite is Coffee No. 12, located inside Wudian City.

Their terrace is a fantastic spot for taking photos.

The coffee is also reasonably priced, averaging around CNY 20-50 per person.

-
🍴Dine at an Authentic Restaurant
Just one intersection away from Jinjiang Airport is Xin Yue Xi Banquet Hall.

It's truly one of the most highly recommended Minnan restaurants among Jinjiang locals.

A 45-year-old establishment, it has a stellar reputation.

The restaurant has a large storefront in a standalone building, making it easy to find.

It offers authentic Minnan cuisine, especially the Quanzhou-style Misua (thin wheat noodles) and deep-fried spiced rolls (Wu Xiang).

We also highly recommend the Hetan Chicken stewed with bamboo fungus and the Ginger Duck, both of which are their signature dishes.

If you're craving seafood, this is also a great choice.

You can select fresh seafood at the counter and have it prepared on the spot.

When you visit Quanzhou, don't just limit yourself to West Street. Jinjiang is also well worth exploring. If you're traveling to or from Jinjiang Airport, consider these options around the airport.
