Encounter the perfect blend of nature and culture at Xiandu Yandang Bookroom

Located within the Xiandu Scenic Area in Jinyun, the Yandang Bookroom can be reached by taking the scenic area's shuttle bus and getting off at Niweng Cave. From there, walk about 600 meters to the right to arrive.

The Yandang Bookroom is a repurposed abandoned quarry. Over thousands of years, human stone extraction has left behind more than 3,000 caves. Designers have ingeniously transformed these natural stone caves and steep cliffs by embedding staggered stone staircases and bookshelves, turning the former quarry into a stunning and popular destination for visitors.

The bookroom's roof is not completely enclosed, allowing sunlight to filter through the crevices on sunny days. Whether it's the light and shadows on the stairs, the cliffs, or the bookshelves, every detail creates a breathtaking scene.
