Wanted to take a walk nearby over the weekend, and chose Beiputuo Mountain based on a colleague's recommendation. The mountain is great for photography with its spacious roads and steps, and the temples are grand and magnificent.
It's not very high, so it's not strenuous for the elderly or children.
It's perfect for someone like me who worries about not being able to climb high.
My route was:
1. Walk straight along the main road to Beiputuo Temple. Since it's not very high, I don't recommend taking the electric car.
Don't just visit one hall and leave; keep going up, there are several more beautiful ones.
2. After finishing at Beiputuo Temple, head to Guanyin Cave. The climb to Guanyin Cave is also not very high. At the top is the famous Old Guanyin Cave, which many people say you must visit with sincerity and seriousness.
3. On the way back, you'll see the cableway. A round trip for adults is 30 yuan, which can take you to Jiguan Mountain, completing the tour.
It's now March, and the trees haven't turned green yet. I believe the scenery will be even more beautiful in autumn.
The mountain is simple and not high, perfect for a relaxing walk. I arrived around 10 AM and returned by 1 PM, taking my time.
After the tour, I recommend going to the Chongqing Sour Fish restaurant in the Guta District. It's said to be a long-established and delicious place.
