Getting There 🚆
We booked a high speed train from Chengdu, around CN¥ 160, for a 2 hour ride. Booked tickets using Trip.com, and you’ll need your passport for verification.
You can also take car rental/ bus for 8-9 hours ride.
However, considering the snowy weather , it is safer to take the train.
Attractions 🌟
This is a 5A Grade reserve national park that is definitely worth visiting! The reserve is huge, but manageable to visit all in a day. There is shuttle bus services provided, and nice walkway for those opted for walking. The view is breathtaking, basically perfect view in any angle. There is toilets provided at each stops, and food stalls selling sausages, steamed corn, water and snacks. Vending machines are easily accessible.
💰Average Price per Person:
Tickets during Non- peak season: CN¥80 (Nov 16- Mar 31) + Shuttle bus CN¥ 80
Do get the tickets early as there is limited availability everyday.
Hotels 🏨
Plenty of choice nearby, but I recommend Holiday Inn, my stay there was great and the location is very nearby the park.
Food & Restaurants🍲
Plenty Tibetan restaurants, do try out their Yak milk tea, Yak meat hotpot with fresh mushrooms and their Baked Flatbread.
