Jiuzhaigou in early autumn

Jiuzhaigou is an absolute autumn fantasy — think misty mountains, sapphire lakes, and golden forests 🍁🏞️. We hit up Jiuzhaigou National Park and, although we didn’t squeeze in every spot, we managed to see the most awe-worthy lakes and views (trust me, those classic photo ops by the water are insane!).

Top Spots to Visit:
🦋 Jiuzhaigou National Park (Beside the 301 Provincial Highway, Jiuzhaigou Mouth, Yuzha Town)
Opening hours: 07:30–18:00 (Jul 16–Nov 9), last admission at 14:00.
Entry is ¥280, grab tickets early from trip.com and get in before the afternoon rush!
Main attractions include Five Flower Lake, Mirror Lake, and Pearl Shoal Waterfall — totally worth the walk and photos.

Efficient Tip: Jiuzhaigou is HUGE, so plan on picking the must-see lakes and falls. Don’t stress about missing a few spots; the scenery will blow your mind either way.

Personal hacks: Pack a warm jacket — autumn nights get chilly, especially when you're waiting for the shuttle or wandering late. Layers are your friend! And, if you’re snapping family pics, mornings offer dreamy misty light (our lake shots came out super ethereal thanks to the fog).

Getting Around:
The park’s shuttle buses are a lifesaver for big families and anyone short on time. Just confirm schedules at the main gate as they can change based on crowd levels.

Food: Local Tibetan cafes near the park entrance are solid for quick bites. Bring snacks and refill your water bottles — options inside are limited!

Weather: Expect clouds, fog, and brisk air — so dress for warmth and flexibility.
