My Solo Itinerary:

· Morning – Mountain Paths & Stone Foundations: I took a local train from Kōriyama Station to the small Funehiki Station, then a taxi to the site. The climb up the forested path to the fort ruins was peaceful, with the sound of birds and wind in the trees. At the top, I explored the impressive stone foundations and earthworks that outline where the castle once stood. The main honmaru (bailey) is a wide, flat area perfect for imagining the young Masamune looking out over his domain.
