
Located in the northwest corner of the Old City, just inside Shuixi Gate, Xinghua Park is a scenic spot within the Ring City Park. Spanning 400 mu (approximately 1,000 acres), it boasts a pastoral landscape and rich historical and cultural heritage.
There are 130 varieties of trees in the park , including Beijing's Baipi pine, the big cherry trees in the Dabie Mountains, Japanese cherry trees, and Italian Badou apricot, iron apricot, peach apricot and other species.
The park is located in the magnificent East Gate Square, which is paved with granite and colored slabs. The main roads in the park follow the terrain, and the secondary roads are winding. The " Yangyi Pavilion " , " Yixiu Pavilion " and " Youyou Pavilion " are quaint and ancient. The " Happy Island " in the west area is novel and unique. There are many large-scale entertainment facilities, including a Ferris wheel, ingenious rockery and bridges, a first-class open-air stage, and pigeon houses and pigeon farms for fun and entertainment.
