Loon Sing’s 50% Dim Sum promotion: Worth it ? 🤔

On our way to Forest City, we stopped by Loon Sing at Bukit Indah to try their 50% dim sum promotion on weekdays. The restaurant has a spacious dining hall and ample parking, which was a plus. Since we arrived after lunch, it wasn't crowded, which was a relief.

We ordered a variety of dim sum, including their signature golden custard bun and tong por meat bun ( no entitled for promotion). The food was served quickly, which was impressive. However, I noticed a drop in quality for their siew mai - it's not my favorite anymore. On the other hand, the golden custard bun was still consistent in quality.

The rest of the dishes were acceptable, but the tong por meat bun had inconsistent quality. Some pieces of meat were tender and melted in my mouth, while others were quite hard. My family member joked that some might have been cooked the day before and reheated.

Overall, I felt the quality has dropped compared to previous visits, but with the 50% promotion, it's hard to complain too much. The average price per person was around MYR 35. I'd give Loon Sing 3.5 stars this time.
