I’ve had this place bookmarked for a while, and today I finally got to try their signature dish. I ordered the Chef’s recommended broth (招牌) – the creamy cheese soup with grouper fish (石斑鱼) slices – and I must say, it was a pretty unique experience.
The broth was rich, comforting, and you can definitely taste the cheese, which is something I don’t usually associate with traditional Asian fish soup. Surprisingly, it worked well. The grouper slices were fresh and tender, but if I had to nitpick, the portion was a bit too small even for someone like me who doesn’t have a huge appetite.
They offer both fried and poached fish options, which is a nice touch depending on your preference. Price-wise, I found it reasonable given the type of fish used and the effort behind the broth.
Worth trying if you’re craving something comforting but a little different from the usual!
