Walking the Sacred Path of Mount Gerizim, Jordan

Oh my, visiting Mount Gerizim during my trip to Jordan was truly a great choice! Known as a holy mountain to the Samaritans, every step up the steep path felt imbued with a sacred energy. 🙏

The trail was honestly quite challenging. There were lots of rocky paths and strong winds that made me exclaim, "Oh, my knees!" But once I reached the summit and saw the breathtaking view, all the struggles were instantly forgotten. The wide-open scenery unfolded before me, showcasing the stunning landscapes of Jordan. No wonder this place is famous as a pilgrimage site.

Interestingly, among Christians, this mountain is believed to have been chosen as a sanctuary even before the Temple of Jerusalem. Knowing this made the experience feel even more special. 🕊️ It felt like I wasn’t just climbing a mountain, but walking through faith and history.
