Chungjeongsa Temple next to Namsan Hanok Village

#AugustTravelSupport

Visiting Chungjeongsa Temple, located next to Namsan Hanok Village, I was deeply moved. Built to honor Maeguk (梅谷) Lee Jun, a leader of the volunteer army during the Imjin War, Chungjeongsa Temple possessed a modest yet elegant and solemn atmosphere. 🔮

Entering the grounds, I was greeted by a tranquil atmosphere, along with a monument and pavilion commemorating Lee Jun's loyalty. While not ornate, the refined architectural style and elegant spatial layout conveyed the shrine's profound meaning even more profoundly. 🌳

Standing in the front yard of the shrine and looking out over the surroundings, the tranquil atmosphere, blending with the lush green forests of Namsan, allowed me to reflect on the sacrifices of those who dedicated themselves to their country. After a brief stay and a prayer, I was reminded of the preciousness of the peaceful and comfortable life we enjoy today.🍁

Chungjeongsa Temple was a solemn and reverent space, quite different from the vibrant Hanok Village I'd encountered at the entrance. The fact that the two places were located side by side, allowing me to experience traditional culture and the spirit of history together, was deeply meaningful. 🦋
