Located in the center of Kagoshima City, the 107-meter-high mountain "Shiroyama" was named after the mountain castle that was once built here. ⛰️The popular attraction Shiroyama Park Observation Deck has an excellent view, with a panoramic view of Sakurajima on Kinko Bay and the city of Kagoshima. In 1877, this place became the final battle site of the Japanese samurai in the "Southwest War", and there are many historical sites around it. The Chengshan Nature Trail is a treasure trove of more than 600 species of temperate and subtropical plants that reproduce and grow naturally, including a large camphor tree about 400 years old, as well as ferns, coral trees, and more.
