Kagoshima Travel: Five-Star Hot Spring - Hakusuikan and Kinko Tower

Located in the southernmost part of Kagoshima, Hakusuikan is one of the region's five-star hot spring destinations. Positioned at a street corner, the "Kado-ma" (corner) architecture of Hakusuikan draws attention for its multiple viewing angles, often defining the aesthetic of the city's intersections.

As a structure from the Japanese colonial era, the building retains soft curves, sometimes even complete arcs. The architectural style of Hakusuikan emphasizes cutting out arcs while preserving an elegant facade, showcasing Japanese architects' commitment to "overall urban aesthetics" in their designs.
