After two days of exploring Changsha, I finally discovered this hidden treasure – the "Black Forest Hotel" tucked away in the Wuyi Business District! Pushing open the dark wooden door, I was instantly struck by the rich retro dark aesthetic – warm brown leather sofas, bronze-textured chandeliers, and corridors decorated with old Shanghai posters, as if stepping straight into the golden age of cinema. Every corner is magazine-worthy 📸!
🌆 Stay in the heart of Changsha! All attractions at your doorstep
▪️ The hotel faces Orange Isle directly, with floor-to-ceiling windows offering a view of Chairman Mao's statue. Watching the sunset over the Xiangjiang River from the window is simply breathtaking!
▪️ Just 300 meters to Xiangjiang Middle Road subway station, one stop to Orange Isle. Downstairs are Pozi Street and Taiping Old Street – after a late-night snack run at 2 AM, you're back in your room in 5 minutes 🛍️!
▪️ The Xiangjiang River Scenic Belt is right next door, perfect for morning runs or evening strolls. No wonder guests say, "It's like having a teleportation door to all the attractions!"
🛋️ Dark-themed rooms with healing details
The bathtub room I stayed in was a true "explorer's savior"!
▫️ A freestanding bathtub with panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows – fill it up with your favorite bath salts and enjoy the night view of Orange Isle while soaking, instantly melting away fatigue 🌃;
▫️ Smart lighting system with one-touch "movie mode," dim lighting paired with retro speakers for maximum ambiance;
▫️ The attention to hygiene details amazed me: toilet seat disinfectant stickers, spotless bathtub edges, and even a Dyson hairdryer – pure luxury 💎!
💌 Heartwarming service! Feels like a private hot spring B&B
After booking, I received a call: "What time will you arrive? Let me send you walking directions~"
At check-in, the front desk handed me warm plum juice and a hand-drawn snack map 📝: "This stinky tofu place on Pozi Street only opens in the afternoon – I've marked it for you!"
When I forgot my charger at checkout, the manager chased me to the subway station to return it – more reliable than a boyfriend 😭!
📝 Blogger Tips
✔️ Opt for a high-floor river view room to enjoy both Orange Isle panoramas and city nightscapes;
✔️ The hotel has its own cozy bar – sipping cocktails on the terrace with views of the illuminated riverbanks is ultra-chic;
✔️ Parking is tough in Wuyi Business District during peak seasons – staying here makes subway travel most convenient!
If you're looking for a hotel in Changsha that combines "convenient location + Instagrammable spots + ultimate comfort," this retro hideaway in the bustling city will make you fall in love with Changsha's nights 🌙~
