On the self-driving trip through Western Australia, we passed through small towns like Cervantes, Jurien Bay, and Geraldton, but my favorite is still Kalbarri!
-
Kalbarri is not big, and I passed through the town center countless times every day, but the leisurely pace of life and the feeling of stepping out to see the sea is really wonderful!
.
We stayed in Kalbarri for 2 nights, the most relaxing 2 days of the entire trip. 👇Here is our latest travel guide

🏨 About accommodation
📍 We stayed at Kalbarri Edge Resort
💰 The price during National Day holiday was about 1200r/night, which is not very cost-effective comparatively
🌟 The location is pretty good, right in the town center, and you can see kangaroos hopping around at night when you go out
🚗 It’s a motel type, with parking downstairs, very convenient for coming and going
🍳 The room has a microwave and a full set of tableware, so you can buy ingredients at the supermarket and cook your own meals

💡 Tips
❶ The town is small, and the gas station has an IGA supermarket where you can buy all kinds of things (including rice)
❷ Parking is free at all attractions, with few cars and close to the spots, making the experience very good
❸ There is a big temperature difference between morning and evening; wear short sleeves during the day in October and a down jacket in the evening
❹ There are wild pelicans by the sea here, and there is a pelican feeding activity starting at 8:30 every morning
❺ There are really a lot of flies, especially in Kalbarri National Park; a fly mask is a must in summer!
