Nestled on the coast of Shonan, Kamakura Haseji Temple is known as “the verse of the flow of the four seasons”. The most famous of the temple is the eleven-faced Guanyin statue, the atmosphere is solemn, but more attractive is the temple garden with different seasonal changes, spring with cherry blossoms, summer to see the basil flowers in full bloom, autumn more layers of red leaves, along the temple corridor slowly walk up, every corner is very picturesque, great for photography.
Recommended tour routes:
It is recommended to enter from the mountain gate, first visit the Guanyin Hall to enjoy the giant eleven-faced Guanyin, then visit the Amitabha Hall and the Jizang Hall to feel the ancient tranquility of the temple. After that, you can choose a comfortable path to slowly walk up the mountain. There are all kinds of flowers and trees along the way. In spring, it is best to take pictures of cherry blossoms, in summer, there is a sea of hydrangeas, and in autumn, there is a tunnel of red leaves. At the highest point of the temple, there is also a lookout overlooking the Shonan coast.

2. Hydrangea Walk: Must-have in summer, the sea of flowers is super beautiful
3. Observation Deck: overlook the entire sea view of Xiangnan, take pictures and check in

Sightseeing Tips and Notes:
- It is recommended to avoid weekends or Japanese holidays, less crowded on weekdays, you can slowly enjoy & check in
- The best time to shoot hydrangeas is early to mid-June, to plan ahead
- In the peak season, the number of people entering the temple will be limited, so be patient in queuing to enter
- Comfortable shoes are recommended because the temple has a ramp near the hill
- Open Spring/Summer (April 1-June 30) 08:00-17:30, Fall/Winter (July 1-March 31) 08:00-17:00, remember the latest entry time (17:00 and 16:30 respectively)
Hasegashira Temple is well worth a slow walk in all seasons, whether it’s just to see Guanyin or leisurely enjoy the Japanese courtyard view, it’s great for taking beautiful photos and looking for a sense of tranquility.
