Kamakura: A Unique Coastal City

Kamakura, one of Kanagawa Prefecture's leading tourist destinations ⛩
I went to Kamakura Shrine, a little away from the city center, for my first visit of the year 🚶♂️
The shrine enshrines Prince Morinaga, the son of Emperor Godaigo and a key figure in the overthrow of the Kamakura Shogunate.
There are many historical sites within the shrine grounds that tell the story of the shrine's history 😌
Because it was early in the new year, the shrine was crowded with many people, but what surprised me the most was the overflowing display of Kamakura Shrine's representative amulets, the "lion head amulets" 😳
The sheer number and power of the amulets was a real hit with my camera 📸
I was also greeted by many animals, and it looked like I was going to have a good New Year 😌
