Glacier 58

Glacier No. 58, also known as Qudennima Glacier, has an altitude of 5,180 meters. (In fact, Glacier 58 is only a small part of the Qudennima Glacier.) Because it is located on Boundary Marker No. 58 at the junction of China and India, it is called Glacier No. 58 by hikers. It has been listed as a restricted area and tourists are not allowed to enter. This glacier is located in Gangba County, Shigatse Prefecture, Tibet, more than 40 kilometers away from the county seat. However, due to its low popularity, few outsiders know about it, and even map navigation will lead to the wrong location. We originally planned to stay in a temple near the glacier, but the thin air made us feel very uncomfortable, so we went down to the county town that night and climbed up again early the next morning. You can drive a car to a small ice lake, and then walk in. It takes about 20 minutes to reach the edge of the glacier, which is quite shocking. There is no one else but our team.
