[Ishikawa Prefecture] Higashi Chaya District: A streetscape that strongly retains the culture and traditions of Kanazawa

Higashi Chaya District in Kanazawa, Ishikawa Prefecture

It is one of the top tourist spots that you can't miss when visiting Kanazawa, and is one of the three Kanazawa Chaya Districts along with Nishi Chaya District and Kazuemachi Chaya District 👀

It is designated as an Important Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings, and about two-thirds of the existing buildings in the preservation area are traditional buildings 😳
It is a precious place that still retains its historical streetscape!

The area is dotted with a wide range of shops selling sweets, gourmet food, and even cosmetics decorated with "gold leaf," a familiar motif in Kanazawa, and it was bustling with tourists from overseas!
It overlaps with the historical atmosphere,
and it's like a "Japanese-style shopping street" 😌

There are many shops scattered in the back alleys,
so it's fun to come across hidden shops ✌️

I was able to take a lot of photogenic pictures
that give you a taste of Japanese style 📸
※The Asanogawa Ohashi Bridge also becomes a magnificent glasses bridge...! 👓
