On the left of the entrance is the standing seat and Shotoan.
This is a shoin-style building associated with the Maeda family, the lords of Kaga.

The inside is open to the public, and the view of the dry landscape garden from there is soothing.

It is also a rental space, so it can be used for tea ceremonies, haiku meetings, poetry gatherings, incense gatherings, reading groups, and exhibitions related to the tea ceremony.
