🎨【Ishikawa Prefecture, Kanazawa|21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa】

This is what it means to “enter” art.
A place where your five senses gently expand and you encounter the future.

“This isn’t just a museum to look at.
Here, you can immerse yourself in the art.”

Located in the center of Kanazawa City, just near Kenrokuen Garden and Ishiura Shrine,
the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art is a sanctuary of “experiential art.”
Its glass-walled circular architecture lets you see inside from the outside,
giving the feeling that the city and art have become one.

🌀 The signature work is Leandro Erlich’s “Swimming Pool.”
A mysterious space where it looks like people are underwater.
You can look down from above,
and also look up from below,
offering an experience that makes you say, “What!?”

There are also huge glass walls, mysterious rooms where shadows float,
interactive works that children can enjoy,
a place where you can truly feel “Art is fun!”

And best of all—
**many exhibits inside the museum are in the “free area.”**
Whether you’re new to art, love photography, or just here for the café,
anyone can relax in this space at their own pace.

you’ll want to talk about “What did you think of this exhibit?”
If you go alone, you’ll find small discoveries within yourself.
