Speaking of Kanazawa, the most anticipated thing must be the sparkling Jinbo experience! The focus of this trip is to visit the photo-taking scene of Kanazawa's "Golden Park Ice Cream" and feel the luxury of being surrounded by gold foil. The itinerary revolves around East Tea House Street and the Golden Park Art-themed Experience Hall, Foil One (Our Store Foil Choice Hall), whether it’s a traditional neighborhood or fantastic gold foil art, guaranteeing you can’t stop with your phone camera – you won’t be disappointed if you like food, culture and visual impact!
[Two Golden Park Hotspots Can't Miss Kanazawa]
1. East Tea House Street—Representative of Kanazawa’s retro aesthetics
The East Chaya Street in Kanazawa is full of Edo period atmosphere, with narrow stone roads, wooden machiyas and traditional teahouses, which makes you feel like you have traveled back in time. The biggest highlight is the Golden Park Ice Cream Shop that can be seen everywhere on the streets! I tried the legendary "Golden Park Ice Cream" - a large sheet of gold foil elegantly covered on the rich and smooth ice cream, both exaggerated and exquisite, bite down with a touch of luxury🤩, even usually insensitive to ice cream friends want to take a picture.
📍Address: 1 Chome Higashiyama, Kanazawa, Ishikawa 920-0831 Japan
⏰ Opening Hours: Open all day year round
Tips: It is recommended to go later, the crowd is slightly dispersed, photography is not crowded and can slowly find the right small shop. In addition, East Chaya Street not only Jinbo Ice Cream, but also many specialty shops selling Japanese confectionery and souvenirs, after walking around the souvenir bag must be full!
2. Foil one (our store foil craftsmanship) - deep feeling of Kanazawa golden park craftsmanship
If you are a gold foil/craft control, the "foil one" store must be visited! In addition to a full range of Golden Park products, super aesthetic architectural design, there is also a Golden Park craft exhibition and workshop experience. You can buy gold foil skin care products, gold foil cups and plates and even stationery. To be honest, gold is not flashy, and it is very textured for gifts and personal use! The happiest thing is that the professional tour introduction in the museum makes you understand the history of the golden park in Kanazawa, and you can also stick gold (reservation required), in the process you will find that the golden park is actually ultra-thin and exquisite, sticky hands sticky face is fun 🤣.
📍Address: 2-chōme-1-1 Morito, Kanazawa, Ishikawa 921-8061 Japan
⏰ Opening hours: 09:00-18:00 year-round
Tips: It is recommended to reserve at least 1.5 hours, the Gold Parking experience and visit to the pavilion will give you a new understanding of “a piece of gold foil”. There is also a themed dessert Cafe outside. It is best to come back after the Golden Park ice cream for a "flash trip".
[True feelings of Kanazawa Golden Park Ice Cream]
Compared to ordinary ice cream, Golden Park Ice Cream is already very eye-catching at first sight. Once it is served, everyone can't wait to take a picture with their mobile phones. The entrance is not “metallic” as expected, instead the bite brings a sense of high-end ritual – and unexpectedly not greasy, the taste is actually quite fresh. If you have the chance to really give it a try, it's not expensive, you can get a deal for a few hundred yen.
Transportation Food Tips:
- There is a direct bus to Kanazawa Station from East Tea House Street (about 15~20 minutes).
- If you want to have fun all day, you might as well go from morning to night, first go to Foil to feel the culture and then go to East Chaya Street chill walk + Golden Park Ice Cream check-in.
- The weather in Kanazawa changes, you can bring an umbrella and wearing hiking shoes, especially suitable for visiting the store in autumn and winter.
