This guest house is owned by the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) at the Srinakarin Dam, but anyone can book it.
The new house complex, called Baan Krin, was brand new and spacious. One house had three bedrooms and a large living room, complete with counter, sink, refrigerator, and all the amenities. It's fully air-conditioned, a smart home with voice control and a full view of the reservoir.
The dam has a restaurant, so we asked them to prepare breakfast for us, which we could pick up and eat at home.
Activities: In the morning, we went for a walk/run along the dam crest. We stopped for coffee at Khun Sai Chon's coffee shop on the dam crest. Later in the morning, we chartered a raft to swim in the reservoir. We had lunch and dinner before returning home to relax.
Nearby attractions include the giant rain tree, an abandoned paper mill (for those who enjoy a spooky atmosphere, it's a great place to take photos), and a skywalk.
