Kandima Review: Beautiful Island and Luxurious Amenities

We visited Kandima in May—our fourth trip to the Maldives—and despite it being the “rainy season，” the weather remained mostly sunny and warm. We only had one rainy morning in 9 days! The island is sizable and well-kept， with plenty of accommodation choices. We stayed in a unit within a four-unit building overlooking the lagoon—modern， private， and tranquil. The air conditioning was silent， which we really appreciated. Dining at the buffet was average， but the à la carte restaurants were fantastic， especially the Asian one. Pools， bars， a gym， go-karts， and a wonderful spa made our stay both luxurious and enjoyable. The downside: snorkeling in the lagoon was a letdown—there's limited marine life， even at the resort's coral reef. Nonetheless， Kandima provided great value， comfort， and atmosphere. We highly recommend it—just don’t expect lively reef life right outside your room.
