Leafy Wanders & Giant Palms

#summervacay if you need a break from temples and tuk-tuks, Kandy Botanical Garden is the spot. This place is HUGE and packed with all the green vibes, massive trees, weird cool plants, and flower patches that look like they came out of a fairy tale.

Right in Peradeniya (just outside Kandy), it’s super easy to get to, and once you're in, it’s like stepping into a chill jungle park. There’s this famous palm-lined avenue that’s totally Insta-worthy, plus a giant fig tree that looks like something out of a fantasy movie, sprawling branches, major shade, 10/10 tree.

You can wander for hours and still find random quiet corners to just sit and zone out. There’s even a cactus garden (prickly but cute) and some cheeky monkeys swinging around like they pay rent.

Pack snacks, wear comfy shoes, and just take your time. It’s the kind of place where you don’t need a plan, just follow the path and enjoy the leafy goodness. Green therapy, Sri Lanka style!
