The first pass of Kham-Zheduo Mountain has a strong wind🏔️

Zheduo Mountain is located in Ganzi Prefecture, Sichuan Province, and is a remnant of Gongga Mountain in the middle section of the Daxue Mountain Range.
"Zheduo" means bend in Tibetan.

It is the only way to Tibet from the Sichuan-Tibet Highway 318, also known as the "First Pass to Tibet" or "First Pass to Kham".
The highest peak of Zheduo Mountain is 4962 meters above sea level, and the pass is 4298 meters above sea level.
It is also the first high mountain pass that needs to be crossed on the Sichuan-Tibet line🏔️

Zheduo Mountain is also an important geographical dividing line. To the west is the plateau uplift zone with the Yalong River, and to the right is the high mountain valley zone with the Dadu River.

Zheduo Mountain is a very challenging mountain.
At the pass of the mountain, there stands a white pagoda, with prayer flags flying around it. In the distance, you can see the "Top of Shu Mountain".
There is a chance of altitude sickness when going up and down the mountain
Don't move too fast when going up and down the stairs.
There are shops and vendors selling oxygen cylinders around.
The wind is quite strong on the top of the mountain 🌀🌀🌀Please keep warm

PS: The area east of Zheduo Mountain has a subtropical monsoon climate.
