This is what Yema Haizi looks like in winter, a real blue ice lake!

1. About Yema Haizi
Yema Haizi is a beginner hiking route and a lesser-known lake in western Sichuan with beautiful scenery.
Here, you can watch the sunrise over the mountains from the ridge, face the rolling sea of clouds, and feel the beauty of nature!
In the deep winter, the ice surface freezes, presenting a unique blue ice scene, which is particularly spectacular. You can also play on the ice by the lake!

2. How to play at Yema Haizi
You need to hike to Yema Haizi. The round-trip hiking distance is about 6 km, with an altitude climb of about 600 m. The round-trip only takes about 3 hours, which is very suitable for beginners. It is safe and offers a great experience!

3. Upgraded Yema Haizi experience
It takes about 5 hours to drive from Chengdu to Yema Haizi, about 10 hours round-trip. If you go back and forth on the same day, you may not have much of an experience and will only be left tired. This is not recommended!
It is recommended to stay near Kangding for 1 or 2 nights, find a hot spring hotel to soak in, upgrade your experience, and truly combine hiking and leisure!

4. Where is Yema Haizi?
Yema Haizi is located near Yajiageng, Kangding. It is a mountain lake where you can take photos of many snow-capped mountains. It is currently undeveloped, and not many people know about it or go there.
There is little information about this route online. Although the location for photographing snow-capped mountains is not as close to the snow-capped mountains as Lenggacuo, it can be said to be close at hand. At present, only a few hikers have taken this route.
