Gongga Langjiling Monastery, the largest Gelugpa monastery in Daocheng County, Ganzi, Sichuan.

On the road to Daocheng Yading, in the southwest of Chitu Township, there is a magnificent Gelugpa monastery called Gongga Langjiling Monastery. Tourists heading to Yading usually stop here to pay their respects. The monastery's treasure is a bronze statue of Maitreya gifted by the Fifth Dalai Lama, which is of great significance.

Stepping into a Tibetan Buddhist monastery for the first time, one can immediately feel the difference from the Mahayana Buddhism commonly seen. The entire atmosphere is solemn with a touch of mystery. The ceilings and walls are adorned with numerous Buddha images, which are of high artistic value. Unfortunately, photography is not allowed, so one can only admire them with sincerity.

Gongga Langjiling Monastery stands on a plateau over 3,000 meters above sea level and is the largest Gelugpa monastery in Daocheng County. It was built in the early Ming Dynasty, giving it a sense of historical depth. It is a must-visit attraction when traveling to Daocheng Yading.
