The Kaohsiung Lighthouse, formerly known as the Cihou Lighthouse or Qihou Lighthouse, has been open to the public since 1992.

The lighthouse is an octagonal white brick structure with an octagonal body that transitions to a cylindrical top, and there is a Western-style white wall office in front of the tower.

Located at the highest point of Qijin, the Kaohsiung Lighthouse overlooks the coast, offering visitors a view of the beautiful sunset.

There is a cafe inside where visitors can enjoy an afternoon.

Cihou Fort (also known as Cihou Battery) is situated on Cihou Mountain at the northernmost end of Qijin.

The fort features a Sino-Western design with red brick construction and is inlaid with many traditional patterns such as the auspicious 'double happiness' character and bats. The area is divided into a drill ground, artillery zone, and command area.

The site is open 24 hours a day, and visitors often tour it together with the Kaohsiung Lighthouse.
