Cijin Island @ Kaohsiung, Taiwan

If you're visiting Kaohsiung, we highly recommend a 1-day trip to Cijin Island. This charming small island is filled with nature, the sea, history, and local cuisine. It offers a relaxing atmosphere with a cool sea breeze, making it a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of the city.

There are several must-visit photo spots and checkpoints, including century-old forts, modern art installations, and scenic seaside cycling paths. Here are some highlights:
- Cihou Fort and Qijin Lighthouse – Enjoy panoramic views of the sea and Kaohsiung city from above.
- Tunnel of Stars – An old stone tunnel beautifully lit with decorative lights.
- Shell Museum and Rainbow Church – Stunning spots for photography.
- Cijin Old Street – Packed with fresh grilled seafood and local snacks.

We recommend renting an electric bike (2-wheel or 4-wheel) to explore the island fully and conveniently.

If you stay until evening, you can enjoy a romantic sunset view, adding a special touch to your trip.

🚲 Transportation and getting around the island:
• From Sizihwan MRT Station (O1) or Hamasen Light Rail Station (C14), walk to Gushan Ferry Pier to take the ferry to Cijin.
• Cijin Ferry fare: 30 TWD.
