The Cijin Kite Festival, located in Cijin, Kaohsiung, is an annual event that combines the ocean, sunshine, and creativity. During the event, colorful giant and sculpted kites soar in the blue sky, interweaving with the Cijin seascape to create a magnificent spectacle, attracting families, photography enthusiasts, and tourists alike. In addition to kite performances, there are also frequent kite-making workshops, cultural and creative markets, and food stalls, allowing visitors to not only watch the excitement but also experience the joy of kite flying themselves. Cijin's expansive coastline and stable winds make it one of Taiwan's most ideal locations for kite flying. Combined with the surrounding seafood and beach activities, it has become Kaohsiung's most iconic autumn island festival.
